Project Coordinator

The Centre for Security Studies (KEMEA) is a scientific, consulting and research entity aiming at conducting theoretical & applied research and providing consultancy services on security policy issues at national and international level. It was established by law in 2005 and constitutes the Greek Ministry’s of Citizen Protection “think-tank” on homeland security & anti-crime policies. KEMEA is a founding member of the European Organisation for Security (EOS), and has been appointed as the National Contact Point for the protection of European Critical Infrastructures (2008/114/EC). KEMEA participates in the implementation of 52 research projects financed by FP7, HORIZON 2020, DG Migration & Home Affairs, & the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF).

Research Center for Gender Equality (KETHI)

The Research Centre for Gender Equality (KETHI), is a Legal Entity under Private Law, founded in 1994. It is supervised and funded by the General Secretariat for Gender Equality of the Ministry of the Interior. The basic aims of KETHI’s activities have a dual focus: to conduct social research on gender equality issues and to improve women’s status and enable their advancement in all areas of political, economic and social life, within the framework of the policies defined by the General Secretariat for Gender Equality.

National Centre for Social Solidarity (EKKA)

The National Centre for Social Solidarity (E.K.K.A.) is a State Organization based in Athens under the authority of the Ministry of Labour, Social Insurance and Social Solidarity. The objective of the E.K.K.A. is the coordination of the network that provides social support services, care and solidarity to individuals, families, groups and populations experiencing crisis situations or are in need of emergency social aid (par.2, article 6, Bill 3106/2003). The organization operates shelters for Emergency Guarded Hospitality of women, victims of violence in general, being in an emergency situation.

The Severe and Enduring Mental Disorder Research Association (ANAKTISI) was founded in 2014. Among its main objectives is to promote and enhance clinical practice in mental health settings in Greece and promote education and research in psychiatry and related scientific areas in Greece.

Co-funded by the “Rights, Equality and Citizenship 2014 – 2020” Programme of the European Union.
